The Month of Electronic Payments (Updated)
Posted on 22. May, 2010 by Nana Kwabena Owusu in News
233 Tech has declared the month of May as the ‘The Month of Electronic Payments’, (if you think that’s bad, we were initially calling it the ‘Month of Pay’, rhymes with May, so take the new version and grin).
What do we mean by that. This whole month we will be doing articles, posts and reviews on technology, processes and benefits of payment systems, funds transfer solutions and debit and credit card solutions from banks, telecom companies and other third party vendors and solutions providers in Ghana (and outside if necessary).
Some of these articles and post will focus on the features and specifications and the processes for signing up to these service while other articles analyse, discuss and review the benefits (or not) of these services and the potential for collaboration to offer better overall services to consumers.
Security is another key issue which will be discussed as it is the most important factor in consumer uptake in such payment instruments and services.
Since the posts will span several categories, this post will be the anchor post and will be updated with each post, to provide a one stop place to find all the related stories under the ‘Month of Electronic Payments’ theme.
Come along for the ride as we discover just what options are available or not and the facts and myths surrounding electronic payments in Ghana.
