Announcing Apple FanBoy, Berry Crazy & Apptastic

Hooray!! We have been promising some changes to the site and growing the content and topics we cover, and although the changes haven’t come fast enough (the power of development bugs), we we are glad to announce that we have three new blogs.

Yes, there are three brand spanking new blogs coming to 233 Tech. These blogs will focus on specific tech topics and bring more content focused content on these topics. These blogs are very ‘fan based’ for those who love specific brands or have a specific flavour of tech news and issues that they love. Without any more fanfare, here are our three new blogs.

Apple FanBoy

The name says it all. We have brought in one of the die hard Apple Fans we know to share his world with the rest of you Apple lovers out there. Apple FanBoy will cover as much content Apple as our newest contributor can spit out from his Mac and you the fans can handle. This is the newest stop for all things Apple, and although he will be mixing in a Ghanaian flavour its still the same Apple LOVE!!!

So welcome our fanboy (I wonder if he takes his Fufu with a slice of Apple), and all you Apple fans out there, help him shape this into a blog that really has the shape you love most…….

Oops… I almost left out one bit of important information, who is this fanboy? Well I think most people will know him best as @Kwabena on Twitter and some of you through his blog, Kwabena.me. If you don’t know him yet, you will soon. And last but not the least, Apple FanBoy will be live by midnight, because the Christmas of Apple Lovers approaches…

Berry Crazy

Blackberry Lovers out there who were fretting at the introduction of the previous blog, its time to put on a big smile because we haven’t left you out. Berry Crazy is a blog that goes very, very crazy about BlackBerry. Berry Crazy will be monitoring all the BB-centric blogs worldwide for news, rumours and leaked photos while providing tips on how to get the best from your BlackBerry in Ghana.

Our Berry Crazy contributor, well the main contributor until we finish vetting others to see if they are crazy enough about their BlackBerry, will be none other than…….. Myself. Most of you will know me as @just2izy on Twitter (and just2izy everywhere else) and on this website as Nana Kwabena Owusu.

So as I switch into BlackBerry mode, I ask you to come along for the ride and do not be shy to get involved. Who knows we may need our own BlackBerry Messenger Group to get even more Berry Crazy!!

Apptastic

Apps are the backbone of desktop computing and as mobile computing gains momentum, apps have become even more important. Apptastic feeds into this trend and brings you the most Fantastic Apps (Hint: Fantastic Apps = Apptastic) across as many mobile and desktop platforms as possible.

As great as an app may be, if you cannot at minimum access its features then it is of no use to you. We will therefore usually emphasis and focus on apps that work well in Ghana but sometimes, there’s no ignoring a great app, whether its in your reach or not.

This blog will be co-authored by the Berry Crazy and Apple FanBoy contributors (covering mostly mobile apps) and other contributors who will join this blog’s team as it grows. Bringing the Berry Crazy and Apple FanBoy teams on-board means we can do cool things like review apps that span multiple platforms and assess how good they are on each platform, once in a while.Hope we can find some truly fantastic apps for all our readers.

So there you have it folks, our three new blogs. We will be hoping for feedback, tips and any other help you can give to make these blogs better and help us build a great community around a huge variety of technology content.

Ps. The Apple FanBoy and Berry Crazy blogs by their fan based nature will be written in a very informal way.
