Yes it is. And usually just as happened in the US most of us don't know until its a few months away. Plus we have a crucial election around that time.... Maybe the election may extend the implementation date though

You will need to contact eTranzact directly for up to date details but the basics;

1. Pay Merchant Account Fees

2. Download API samples (if required)

3. Integrate using the eTranzact API

It was great as a piece of creative writing wasn't it Mike.
But yes we have ended the series. We (the author and myself as the editor) decided the core audience ofhe website were not that into it.

But if you Love it, we'll be exploring having stories under one of our new sites (we'll keep our readers posted) which we believe will give the authors more creative freedom to explore as many themes without being worried about restricting the content to suit a 'core audience'.

Watch Out, this series may just come out again, free of any shackles it had here.

Good point. We'll be exploring some of the points raised, under a 'Living without BIS' themed post.

I have tried iSkoot but it still required dialling out to a US number to work, so I didn't try it.

Calling over Wifi using UMA seems not to be supported by any operator here (will need to double check), just as in the US T-mobile supports it but not AT&T (I stand corrected)

BBM is a whole post on its own!!!

In adddition to all what has been said above, you can connect your device to a wireless Internet connection if you have one. That way, you don use the services of any of these providers. If you use your BB for only data and not voice calls, you could even switch off the SIM Network and connect to wireless. you might see UMA displayed on the screen.

There is a lot more to explore on BB devices than what has been mentioned above; eg Using Skype (downloadable from wwww.iskoot.com); Blackberry Messenger (a BB chat services which cost nothing except having BIS or BES enabled on the device......)

A lot more to discover, explore your device!

Yes there were some great tools and services also deployed. However the excitement of the tournament itself meant we did not blog enough about the cool tech on 233Tech.

Maybe as a 'lookin back at WC 2010' we'll do more

Gr8 piece. I was particularly attracted to twitter visualisation tools deployed by media organisations like Guardian and CNN. < a href = "http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/world-cup-match-replay"> Check out Guradian's twitter replay tool </a>.
